Had a prayer request from one of our Life Group members today regarding some issues she and her family are facing.
It’s to do with much that assails families today – depression, illness and fatigue.
It got me thinking of Psalm 91, that powerful Psalm which begins with that wonderful promise –
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:2
And immediately followed by what part we are to play:
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
Psalm 91:2
What a wonderful promise and what a clear and concise instruction from our Lord, simply to trust Him!
Whilst we should always turn to Him in times of trouble we should always remind ourselves of the glorious day of salvation, that whatever the world throws at us, whatever troubles we face there will always be the New Jerusalem where we will dwell forever in His presence, with eternal peace, rest and joy!
